It doesn't even look good when they do that.. it looks like they couldn't be bothered.
I had a phone like that for under a week, sent it back. It was so uncomfortable to hold.

BBC R&D is a special case.. they're specifically there to try out new stuff. It isn't always reflected in the rest of the company. They implemented ipv6 years ago for example, but the main bbc website remains ipv4 only.
A compliant yaml parser will read json, as they're essentially siblings.. so just write your configs in json and they'll work, if you dislike yaml.
TBH if you're not used to it the steering wheel check can warn frequently. It's checking for a small amount of torque on the wheel rather than actually holding it (as there are no pressure sensors) and that catches people out but the prompt says to put your hands on the wheel.. I could believe 150 times on a long journey.
These days it'll detect that and shut down anyway.
I've had my hand misdetected as a 'defeat device' once.
It does and did... He kept driving anyway. Drink drivers FTW.
I presume AEB kicked in but all that can do is reduce the speed of inpact.. if you're determined to kill yourself there's not much the car can do.

At that point it's not a tip it's a delivery charge.. just call it what it is.
But they won't because then they'd have to pay tax.. Although the taxman is going to notice sooner or later anyway..
It's an interesting point.. I do agree memorisation is (and always has been) used as more of a substitute for actual skills. It's always been a bugbear of mine that people aren't taught to problem solve, just regurgitate facts, when facts are literally at our fingertips 24/7.
Nobody trusted computers.. they were 'new'. It wasn't entirely unheard of for people to verify the output of a computer by hand, or as in your case, doing it by hand intentionally.
Piratebay seems to have it, probably because of this news.
I'd hate to lose the internet archive.. we need archives of stuff.. getting an old bit of hardware to work can be a nightmare when the manufacturer is gone or has deleted all reference to it . Then you find some kind soul has uploaded just what you need to the archive.
Ypu missed 'the update breaks your machine, and you lose a day reinstalling everything'
(because I bet a gaming machine doesn't use something like snapshots to roll back before the damage).
