I thought the main issue was that AI don't really know how to say I don't know or second guess themselves, as it would take a lot more robust architecture with multiple feedback loops. Like a brain.
Anyway, LLM's aren't the only AI that do this. So them being trained on Facebook data certainly isn't the whole issue.

Android phones back all photos up onto the Google cloud by default. Not everyone knows to turn this off.

I mean more like, the only way I suspect we'll get back to pre industrial levels of co2 is with another ice age. Because I doubt civilization as we know it is going to survive long enough to fix it.

Seems like if they wanted to shut it down, rescheduling it first would be an unnecessary step since it's currently schedule one.
It will be a messy transition, as the article points out. But I doubt the point is to shut it down. Especially considering the political climate around cannabis and the messaging from the White House.
