I didn't say any of that so I don't know what you're agreeing with.
Trump has said that he plans to use the military to break up protests.
That's authoritarianism, not liberty.

This isn't about working with people you despise. It's about living around people that despise you.
During Trump's last presidency hate crimes went up 20% according to the FBI. Hate crime related murders were at a 28-year high.
Those aren't opinions those are facts. I woke up Wednesday and I have to fear for my life now because Trump is in office.
People are grieving. They're grieving for their personal safety and the safety of their loved ones. They are grieving for the environment that Trump has every intention of exploiting for personal power. They're grieving for Ukraine. They are grieving for Palestine.
If you are unaware of these facts, get your head outside of the right wing news bubble and open your eyes.
And if colleges are giving students a day to grieve, they are showing compassion. It's not a matter of if the students are capable of functioning it's about adults doing what is right for people in a state of grief and shock.
I'm not discouraging anybody from acting. Compassion in the moment is always the way and we need to organize to minimize the suffering regardless.
Climate change is here. And the election went the way it did. Nations are impermanent like everything else.
That was my point about the country possibly never recovering. We need to organize outside of electoral politics in our local communties.
The Democrats can't save us and they weren't doing a good job with the to begin with. Hopefully they will use the filibuster to minimize the worst of it.
Putin style elections are exactly the plan. I don't expect Trump to live long though and I don't expect his cult of personality to live after him.
But, reclaiming any sort of democracy from the autocrats will be very difficult. The damage was done Tuesday. And it will take generations for this country to recover, if it does it all.
When Trump's health catches up with him and he dies. And his cult of personality dies with him.
Of course, by then, the fascists will have already done a lot of damage as far as cementing future authoritarian regimes.
Mass strikes, mass protests. In other words left organizing is the only positive I expect out of the coming term.
And I expect it will be met with state violence and terrorism because Trump has already said that's his plan.
Financing from corporations affects voter turnout. People are tired of the duopoly. Look at Bernie's campaign in the 2016 primaries compared to Kamala's. It also causes right wing drift in the Democratic Party. Which doesn't get people excited to vote for them.
And the ballot box is dead for the next two years, possibly much longer. Our only hope is the filibuster and left organizing (strikes, protests, marches, etc.)
Shaming people for not voting on the internet isn't going to help anyone. And it's not going to slow our descent into fascism.
We need collective action and direct pressure. And courage. Because the authoritarian regime is likely to counter with state terrorism. And blood is likely to spill.
The relationship between slavery, women's suffrage, and the Republican party is a little more complicated than that. People fought to end slavery and people fought for women's suffrage.
And it's a similar story with the civil rights movement, Democrats didn't give anybody anything. People demonstrated and organized for their rights. Likewise for workers' rights during the Great depression.
Though I agree with your point, parties do change and nothing is static. But it's pressure that changes them. And with left activism basically dead in our country right now, it's election financing that mostly calls the shots.
Maybe if it bent around me in particular. I watched an interesting sci-fi movie that was on a similar concept of temporal bubbles.
But I forget the name.
Just like the first time over and over.
Space and time or inseparable, and we are inseparable from space and time.
Which is saying, if time is a knot we are part of that or knot, just like everything else and would have no idea that we are in it.
This person made posts celebrating Trump's win by the way.
They deserve every one of those down votes
Yeah from the sound of it they want daddy Trump to use government power to dismantle the government.
And then what? Trump is just going to let go of all of that power ๐
I think this person has been conned lol
