Are you against DRM for technical limitations or convenience? I do it for convenience and started writing down before choosing what to buy, but even some short trilogies have mixed DRM and no DRM. I mostly use Kobo for buying but I have no strings attached.

My first book was also a stitch in time and I loved it. Some years later and I'm probably around 100 books, although I still didn't buy q-squared.

There's this awesome and slightly outdated guide where it's easier for you to pick books. Or just go with your personal favourite series.

Some exceptions that never went on TV that I know are: stargazer(Picard before enterprise), Titan (Riker after enterprise) and New Frontiers( based on a whole new set of characters and by far the funniest of all I read).

It's quite an unfair caption for their work. If you read their own article you'll see the effort to preserve metadata is huge, and they're not even necessarily planning to share torrents of individual songs in the short term.

Are you looking for practicing your Russian?

when discussing when China could catch up to the US in the semiconductor race.

BS. Untied states are not competitive at all for a long time. They should say China is catching up with Taiwan.

And it's not a race, there's no finish line, improvements have been happening for 50 years now and can continue for decades.

Wait what? How?

Every language has words that are almost the same sounds but not quite.

English speakers barely pronounce can and can't differently. If you're in a noisy place, or are not familiar with the accent of the speaker or got a flu and your ears are blocked or whatever else, you'll have an extra bad time telling them apart. That's normal. Just extra annoying that this particular example involves a particular meaning and the opposite of it, so context is not your friend.

HEY MATE, CAN YOU PLEASE COME TO THE PARTY?

I CA'!+-:-

OH COOL

I SAID I CA;(++;:-

OH SO YOU CAN'T? YEAH?

YEAH! THAT'S WHAT I SAID.

WELL YOUR LOSS

I SAID I WILL COME, DUDE

OH SHOOT. OK. SEE YOU THERE.

I'd be inclined to square the blame on economic and cultural imposition.

Which means that in maybe 50 years it will be like you say because of China's increasing weight on world affairs.

What do you mean personalised? Do people pay while making specific requests? Hard to believe given how much the biggest stars are getting paid.

Oh that's cool so that's where the idea for this novel came from.

Oh no Mark Ruffalo is tied up! Would he get angry enough to turn into Hulk and free himself?

I'm having a blast watching Mr maker. My son is now 13yo and we don't watch it anymore, but it's still very fun.

It's interesting that I also thought it was super creative. Maybe it's the lack of sleep when he was a toddler. All that crafting seemed like McGiver stuff.

I'm on track to use my bike every 2 years now. I've got my count down at 726 days.

I just didn't have enough time to get the bike off the lock between work and cooking, while I can start my walk within 60 seconds of stopping working. And that includes unpacking my ukelele for playing while walking. Bikes and ukes don't go along well.

It's probably 2 years since anyone in the house used our bikes.

Tires all flat, but the brakes were still sharp and didn't need re work. But it was funny seeing that my son totally outgrew his bike, we need to get a new one.

We went for one quick test around the block, and no minor adjustments, so we followed up with a 10 minute tour.

Wishing next time will be less than 2 years from now.

Relaxing and challenging. It's in the morning, I wonder if it was in the afternoon, would it be a good prep for sleep time?

Poppy, lettuce and dwarf sunflower.

It's summer here and I hope this time it works. Last half a dozen things I planted never started growing, I think I'm watering the seeds too much.

I think I dropped seeds here many months ago.

Not the first time I see something growing that I don't recognise. I guess we have to settle for what the plants want instead of what I'd like to grow.
