Pfft I'm wary of one person in a motorcycle and I don't even live in Argentina anymore. Scarred for life.

When I have said it to people with the intention of them growing, first of all it is meant for their own benefit, not for getting good grades or work recognition.

I find it is important for people to know what their unrealised potential is, and growing as a result of doing something hard, and making this a positive cycle.

But the experience has to provide the rewards in itself. Pursuing external validation or trying to align with someone else's idea of a noble goal will only lead to frustration. As well as decreased confidence.

All that said, you can't have that goal through all your life. Do that for a while, take a rest that could be a weekend, a month or even 10 years long if you're going through raising kids. As long as it's in your own terms and you're not hurting anyone. Nobody likes assholes.

Not exactly since your VPN could be in a country that doesn't give a shit about the laws in your country .

This, but I'd use separate browsers to keep seperate digital fingerprints. Otherwise your ad trackers would know it's the exact same person going to site a directly and site b indirectly.

Also worth noting that Facebook has a back door on its mobile app, that keep listening on some port. When you use certain apps with meta code ( could be a newspaper that monetizes with Facebook ads ) or websites with meta code ( same "newspaper"), those apps/websites send your ad tracker id directly to Facebook app through that port. This de-anonimizes the shit out of your "anonymous" ad IDs. Other techniques rely on lots of data points and some degree of guessing, but this ways it's mercilessly effective and accurate.

You kidding me dude? I'm past 40 and not chance to own a house. Grad and masters degree, working in IT. Ah and uni was good and free. granted that was in the developing world, now living in 1st world, but still no house.

When I was 7 my parents owned a house AND bought a beach house.

Not a chance they can make a restaurant like this in Argentina. They are one of the most reluctant people to try different foods.

Also I'm double sceptical since the same article says it grows in tropical forests in Nicaragua etc, and Argentina has a single smallish area that could be called tropical forest, and that would be a stretch.

And takes more resources than a tab because it doesn't share them, it has its own copy.

I'm having a blast watching Mr maker. My son is now 13yo and we don't watch it anymore, but it's still very fun.

It's interesting that I also thought it was super creative. Maybe it's the lack of sleep when he was a toddler. All that crafting seemed like McGiver stuff.

I'm on track to use my bike every 2 years now. I've got my count down at 726 days.

I just didn't have enough time to get the bike off the lock between work and cooking, while I can start my walk within 60 seconds of stopping working. And that includes unpacking my ukelele for playing while walking. Bikes and ukes don't go along well.

It's probably 2 years since anyone in the house used our bikes.

Tires all flat, but the brakes were still sharp and didn't need re work. But it was funny seeing that my son totally outgrew his bike, we need to get a new one.

We went for one quick test around the block, and no minor adjustments, so we followed up with a 10 minute tour.

Wishing next time will be less than 2 years from now.

Relaxing and challenging. It's in the morning, I wonder if it was in the afternoon, would it be a good prep for sleep time?

Poppy, lettuce and dwarf sunflower.

It's summer here and I hope this time it works. Last half a dozen things I planted never started growing, I think I'm watering the seeds too much.

I think I dropped seeds here many months ago.

Not the first time I see something growing that I don't recognise. I guess we have to settle for what the plants want instead of what I'd like to grow.
