They’ve got plenty of assets in their treasure trove too. This team has a bright future so long as they don’t egregiously fumble any trades or drafts.

Not a bust (in fact opposite of that), but if Sabonis had stayed with okc any longer than he did, he would not have had the development and chance he was given to become the player he is today. He was a poor fit for that okc team at that time.

FT% is known to be a better predictor of future NBA 3pt success for young players coming into the league than their actual 3pt percentage and Wemby shot them in the 80% range. He’ll develop his 3pters.

One interesting observation from these preseason games. Wemby seems to primarily be a perimeter defender. For a guy over 7’ tall oddly he doesn’t go for too many rebounds and defends more towards the perimeter.
Most would put Kobe in top 10 ever to play. That’s an insanely tall order. Wemby’s potential is exciting as hell but let’s not get wrap up in a frenzy. Give him 6-7 years in the league then ask this question.
