Judging by the used car online sites, it has about as much value left as any other car with similar age and kilometers. If I had to buy a car right now, I'd probably take a hard look at the alternatives. But they'd have to actually be better, I usually make car purchase decisions based on the qualities of the car.

Although Musk is certainly trying to make such principles difficult.

Good thing my car is new enough that I don't have to make this choice for several years. Perhaps the competition will have caught up by the time I need to get a new one.

While shopping around for a distro for my gaming box, I tried NixOS and Bazzite. Both were fine, but the atomicity made everything more complicated without any practical upsides for my use case.

So I'm just using Nobara, which is a gaming-optimized Fedora. For my laptop, I'm just using Arch, it's much less hassle. The declarativeness of centralization of NixOS is alluring, but I don't really need it.

Big problem of the two party system: the votes of the crazy constituents get spread to the mainstream parties instead of getting diluted to some crazy parties. RFK Jr. might work to help with that.

Oh right. How amazing that one of my highest upmodded comment is the one where my comment is objectively full of shit

I don't need to present examples for this (= rights should not impede rights) to be a valid general position. Not everything is a dog whistle.

Because the rights of the individual stop when it affects the rights of the other.

Exactly my point as well.

*Does not apply to conservatives who worship Trump

As a purely strategical choice, I would say that insulting their intelligence won't help. However right it would be.

Perhaps a bit too much. Trans rights are human rights, but their rights shouldn't impede the rights of others. No, I don't have specific examples, I just think this is a good general rule. If no impeding is happening, we don't have a problem.

I read somewhere that because recycling plastic isn’t profitable, under the capitalist system there’s no incentive to do so.

Not just unprofitable in a capitalist sense, but inefficient. A typical plastic beverage container can be recycled two or three times before the plastic degrades too much to be usable.

Socialism won't save you here. Unless said socialism bans plastic products.
