I work in a field that is considered by many high tech. I have personally seen a system in use today that duel boots windows 2000 and windows 98.

The product it's used by is old generations and the system does not have any network access but still must be supported by government regulation for several more years....

Generally your blind spot is larger on the right side(especially on tractor trailers) so it's more likely to result in an accident.

That actually is a real thing. Sometimes when one long term partner dies, the other quickly follows with no explainable cause. Like a man who gets yearly physicals and no history of heart problems dies of a sudden heart attack with in a month of his wife dying, that sort of thing.

Look up heartbreak syndrome it's sweet and sad

Something like c sharp acedemy would be kinda cool. Basically do some beginner projects with good code reviews you get a "belt". That belt allows you to review the beginner projects as you work on intermediate projects. Then you complete those and get another belt that let's you do advanced projects and review the intermediate projects others submitted.

Not to mention the possible tie ins...imagine if the studio partnered with onlyfans... Or offered special spaces with live streaming(with permission) to people's Webcam sites.

"remember to join the stream this Saturday where we will be on location in the pleasure dome's sunset beach set for a special sex on the beach adventure"

They get the only copy... I don't care if the watch it, post it online or just it for skeet shooting with a shotgun.

Some of these are useful if combined... For example imagine fighting an enemy, you turn so your left arm is towards you, yell the command word and start flying upward(left arm around towards him/her since tight circles) with invisible hand rip off cloak and drop it! Now there is a owl bear fighting him/her while you can disengage to drink a healing potion.

For years I've contemplated the idea if I came into a bunch of money if starting a porn studio where the customer is an actor/actress in the porn.

We have a building and several "sets" with cameras recording, customer picks their "partner" and "set" and "shoot the porn", after they are done the video is burned on to a dvd(or blue ray or potentially put on a private file server).

The customer isn't paying for sex, they are paying for the video.

Pretty sure it would have a ton of legal push back and I would need a lot of money for the lawyers to fight the cases.

But 1. Safer for everyone imvolved(it's video taped so you won't beat/hurt/kill the other party) 2.technically legal just like shooting porn

One thing I always wondered is what counts as "management"?

For example I'm in manufacturing (not looking to start a union, my job treats me fairly well but I support them) and we have "team leads" who technically "manage" people but are very low on the totem pole.

We have supervisors who are higher, about the same as engineers, who "manage" the leads.

The we have directors and managers who basically run their whole group.

The it goes up to vps and divisional vps and eventually CEO and board of directors.

Where does "management" start? Really below vps/dvps everyone is just following orders. They may be following orders but with much more lead way. I can see a case that anyone who "manages" another person, even at a team lead level" could be counted as management and that just doesn't seem fair.

Yes he is an asshole. Yes he deserves to lose all his money. Yes he should/has to pay the victims of sand hook.

My question is what happens to the money in the account? Can the bank just say we are not willing to do business with you anymore and keep it?

If this was me or you, can a bank just deny you access to the money in your account?

I would think... And I am no expert... They could say "we don't want your business anymore, take the money out of your accounts within 30 days or it's forfiet" or something. But to think the bank can just close the account and keep the money seems really bad in my eyes.
