Anyone else had any problems with the USB-C port on the Fairphone 4? It seems to need replacing about once a year. Is there a fix for it? I read on a forum that there is a slight gap that causes the port to move slightly with usage, causing it to wear out quicky. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my Fairphone 4; I just replaced the battery, back cover, and USB-C port this week. The only other complaint I have, is the battery: it's low capacity and was pretty much unusable after 2.5 years of usage. Probably still the best phone I've owned, even with all it's flaws, and I plan on using it for another 4-5 years at least. Have to stockpile on USB-C ports or wedge a piece of plastic in the gap.

Off-topic: bought a flip case with card holders for 35€, but it was originally 50€?! What sort of math is that? It takes 3-5€ to make it. But it was the only one that was available and now I don't have to carry around a wallet at least.

That would imply that he wasn't suicidal before. If chatgpt didn't exist he would just use Google.

Does anyone have any experience with HuggingFace TTS models in Firefox? I know that there is a mobile application that allows you to change your default TTS engine to one of the models. I also know of an old method to get different, better-sounding TTS to work in Firefox. I think I was also able to get the Microsoft voices working through the same method with some workarounds, but I'm unable to provide a link. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Typo. Fixed now :)

I find myself having to switch it on and off constantly, which is really annoying. The solution on mobile works great, which supposedly has privacy pass built in. Otherwise I'm really happy with how good their other stuff is. The translation is amazing!

I bet that if they use the correct technologies (LIDAR and laser guidance systems), they would be a lot safer than regular drivers. Of course, computers make mistakes, but humans also don't have the best track record in terms of driving safety. You're technically not wrong though.

For me with the high models it takes like 20-30 second pauses and if the text is long enough then it just stops completely.

So I'm considering just using excel to keep track of all my expenses and income, but is there a better solution? What do you use to track how you spend money? I want something from which I can freely export the data if need be so excel is tempting.

You're an actual moron if you truly believe that.

What a shitty take. Imagine betting on something with a poor human rights record and countless privacy violation. America may have it's faults, but it will get ironed out like it always does. I'm hoping for everybody's sake that China doesn't become the new global superpower. America has the soft power thing down to the t at least.

As for the other claims you made, source?

In my humble opinion Bush kind of fucked America up, but that is fixable.

I know that it is completely typical for neurodivergent people to enjoy the dark, but it's quite the opposite for me for some reason. I need my room to be as bright as the sun (metaphorically speaking).

Been doing lots of reading and shopping for even more interesting books. Hung out with friends yesterday. Life is good and pretty chill right now.
