Doesn't have to he illegal at all. Plenty of freely shared music out there, and some with less restrictive licenses.

On the other hand it seems absurd I am not allowed to let other people browse my library and listen to songs. Not copy them, simply stream them.

What if we collectively bought the music and lent it out in library fashion? Only I user per stream. I refuse to give up having control because of stupid backwards laws.

I am on lemmy right?

I only skimmed, but not one single suggestion to federated our music? Isn't that what we need to do now, and not for downloading, simply sharing libraries. It's out there...

It never would have occurred to me to run a RDP server in Linux. It is a proprietary protocol. I would run a different server on a linux machine.

Edit: Thinking back to doing something similar seems like we set up XRDP. I usually just Forward X sessions if I want graphical environments in linux, but I do seem to recall doing it with XRDP too. I think you needed to have a user directory, but they did not have to be logged in.

I use rdp on Linux every day. It works as good as windows does. I am confused by this.

Unless you are not using RDP literally, and just mean remote desktop in general. Because RDP is not really a linux thing, even though I use it every day to connect to Windows machines (and the cloud) using a Linux client.

The only issue I have with RDP and linux (and have clients ask about) is the multimonitor support under wayland.

Nope not clear at all.

Yeah, I was just joking around, surprised people took it that seriously. I mean if there are ads, I am getting paid either way.....

I noticed that the best of the educational and instructional videos, particularly from the companies using it for training and demonstration have turned off ads anyways. Youtube is not quite yet forcing ads on everyone are they?

Uh, if it's work:

A. Shouldn't you be working?

Or

B. Ads while I get paid, doesn't seem too bad.

C. Principle of the matter dammit!

What does he edit the video with? My video editing software does speech to text subtitles. Which is nice because I can edit where and how the subs are displayed.

What are you trying to say? Who is an entitled brat? This comment makes no sense.

Start charging people who monetized their videos, like any other web host. They can run youtube ads, or pay money. Subsidize the free users.

Well I guess it is configured that way on my EndeavorOS laptop, so I wonder what I need to do to enable it. My desktop has been rolling for 4 years, maybe they added that at some point along the way.

I will give it a look an check it out. Been awhile since I used Suse. Totally cool. Oh and I meant the windows key. A lot of Linux folks call it the super key.
