I personally think the key issues still holding Linux back are

  • Not installed on PCs on standard brick-and-mortar shops
  • Microsoft's tight grip on enterprises and businesses
  • Non availability of industry standard applications
  • Availability of choice, which creates choice paralysis for the user

I don't agree that there are no problems on Windows. There are different types of problems but users are so accustomed to them, they will go through more hoops to solve them, when it's trivial on Linux. We have to introduce Linux much early to users to create familiarity.

Microsoft: Bedrock is truly cross-platform!

Linux: Heyy...

Microsoft: No, not that much cross-platform

Don't you think it's wild that a hard drive, which is just chilling inside its case, suddenly has its innards spilled out using a screwdriver, and dumped into a 24/7 NAS with other hard disks.

A bit inhumane if you ask me.

You have to be doing something seriously wrong to make Minecraft run poorly. It has native support for Linux.

Is there any way to verify that the product in deployment is built from the same source? I'm guessing hash values but I still think it can be faked.

Halo MCC with a buddy of mine. It's a blast. Halo 2 right now and will slowly move up till Halo 4.

Managed to fix the CO-OP issue faced by linux users and now working fine.
