And AFAIK you can't just get a job at Costco anymore (unless it's something very specific that requires certain education /skill?), you have to work 1-2 years as contractor and hope to get an offer.

If you know what's worth getting and what isn't at Costco, membership is still a good deal and if you know your spend, even just 3k a year, it's worth being executive member over regular, as you get it back (60+) in cashback, but they are enshittifying at breakneck speed.

Mmmmm nice slice of sourdough with duck fat (goose fat may also do, but duck is better) and onions with a pinch of salt 🤤

Being good at some computer games (not just flight simulators) is helpful in getting through the recruitment process. I'd say a mix of having good orientation and implementing and executing a strategy is required at the very least (and sticking to it, which I didn't do lol), which you definitely get/practice in games.

However the actual training process can cut those numbers dramatically, but I wouldn't be surprised if they ignored obvious red flags with some of these 'gamers' just to pump those numbers up.

Well oligopoly in the market, but I guess you can ...umm...turn that 10k into profit iykwim

I wonder whether the major providers will use this as an excuse to jack up the prices, internet specifically, or try to be more competitive. Telus was ready to buy me out of contract, install a line that doesn't exist and offer month to month from get go, so logically I would assume it could help drive prices down, but then again greed beats logic.

At the very least I hope the cellphone plan changes should help those who don't usually shop around and don't sign up for plans when providers offer to "cover" the connection fee or w/e they call that bullshit.

Let me guess, repeat offenders bit is there to ensure genuine protesters (not some asswipe convoyturds) get to never protest again after being arrested a few times.

Meh suggestions, find a farmland nearby where you live and see if there are any rivers with dykes and go for a stroll there. The parking along them isn't usually too big though.
As an example you can lookup Harris road bridge or Neaves road in Pitt Meadows on the map as there several spots along to go stargazing/observe meteor shower.
Word of warning, I am not sure how much I can recommend those two specifically anymore as they did get very busy last summer during peak...unless you come out before nautical/astronomical twilight.
