I'm subscribed to Kagi, but I wonder: At what occasion do they issue the promotional codes one can enter during subscription to get a discount? Do they occasionally have special days or so, where it's cheaper to subscribe? Or are they only issued rarely and/or only to individuals?

Prosecutor Tom Little told the the court that his team would offer no evidence against the men and that "we simply cannot continue to prosecute this case".

The court heard that the Crown Prosecution Service had determined the evidence it had gathered did not meet the threshold to go to trial. The pair were due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court from 6 October.

1964. When America was at war with itself.

Two FBI agents investigating the murder of civil rights workers during the 60s seek to breach the conspiracy of silence in a small Southern town where segregation divides black and white. The younger agent trained in FBI school runs up against the small town ways of his partner, a former sheriff.

‘I’m going to throw that thing into a river!” my wife says as she comes down the stairs looking frazzled after putting our four-year-old daughter to bed.

To be clear, “that thing” is not our daughter, Emma*. It’s Grem, an AI-powered stuffed alien toy that the musician Claire Boucher, better known as Grimes, helped develop with toy company Curio. Designed for kids aged three and over and built with OpenAI’s technology, the toy is supposed to “learn” your child’s personality and have fun, educational conversations with them. It’s advertised as a healthier alternative to screen time and is part of a growing market of AI-powered toys.

When I agreed to experiment on my child’s developing brain, I thought an AI chatbot in cuddly form couldn’t be any worse for her than watching Peppa Pig. But I wasn’t prepared for how attached Emma became to Grem, or how unsettlingly obsequious the little alien was.

The "something alarming" is synthetic drugs and no psilocybin.

Every day starts the same for me and my family: searching for water. Not clean water, not safe water, just enough to stay alive. We carry broken jugs and buckets patched with wires, and walk under the burning sun to stand in a line that feels endless. Hours pass, and we can only hope there’s still a little left when it’s finally our turn.

When we bring it back, there’s no comfort waiting at “home.” Some days, home is barely a wall, barely a roof, just broken concrete where we sit together and try to remember what life used to be. Every shattered stone carries a memory: meals we can’t share anymore, moments of quiet that no longer exist, a normal life that feels gone forever.

This is our reality in 2025. Water is scarce. Hope is even scarcer. Survival has replaced dreams.

Every day is a struggle just to stay alive, and every night we pray that we can find the strength to do it all again tomorrow. We are not numbers. We are a family. Thirsty, displaced, and holding onto what little dignity we have left.

I am sharing this to show some of the daily struggles we encounter. I am sharing this so people in different nations can see and hear us. To raise our voice. To be a witness in every struggle.

This is the struggle you don't see, our struggle, our life, our fight to survive.

I recently upgraded my setup from an RPi running DietPi to a Beelink 14 (N150) running Proxmox. So far it’s been fun screwing around with it, creating VMs and LXCs, and getting to learn the ways of Proxmox.

My latest obstacle, however, was migrating my Plex setup from the RPi to the Beelink, I have created an unprivileged LXC and setup Plex manually. I know there is a Community Helper Script for it but where is the fun in that.

Anyway, I am trying to enable HW acceleration and can’t seem to passthrough the GPU drivers to the LXC without breaking things (thankfully I have a backup that I always restore to once things break).

I looked up tutorials online that might help but I can’t seem to find anything applicable, mostly people suggest to just use the Community Helper Script and get it over with. There isn’t much I can learn doing it the easy way.

Can anyone suggest to me how to go ahead with this or at least point me in the right direction?

Thank you.

I'm at a relatively stable point in my life (working part time, financially stable), so I'm thinking about trying out as a freelancer, but just casually to start out and see if I like it. I'm curious how people get started - primarily, how to find work and connect with people who have available work and are willing to hire.

Other things to have in place before getting started (professional website, portfolio, other things) would also be helpful to know, but since I'm pretty casual about trying this out, I would hesitate to do additional stuff unless it's really important and makes a serious difference in obtaining potential clients.

Thanks in advance!

A key federal vaccine advisory panel whose members were recently replaced by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to vote to recommend delaying, until age 4, the hepatitis B vaccine that's currently given to newborns, according to two former senior officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

For more than 30 years, the CDC has advised that infants get the first of three shots of the hepatitis B vaccine at birth. In that time, the potentially fatal disease has been virtually eradicated among American children. Between 1990 and 2022, case rates plummeted 99 percent among people age 19 and younger.

Pediatricians warn that waiting until age 4 to begin vaccination opens the door to more children contracting the virus.
