Had a heated argument with a tankie who glorified stalin and lenin. So fucking tired. The worst thing he's a discord mod of a good streamer, and i left the server because i can't be there anymore. Context: i'm russian whose grand-grandparents were repressed and forcibly relocated. Left Russia several years ago because i didn't want to support the aggressive war in Ukraine. And his american (no offense to amreicans tho) ass tried to explain me that stalin is an actual hero who singlehandedly saved Europe from fascism, and all repressed were rich "bourgeois land owners" (actually, no. but even if yes, that's a terrorism). Then he and other user started posting stupid tankie memes. Ofc they ignored my questions how LGBT+, religious groups and small nations were treated and deleted the message. I'm sick of that shit. Needed to vent somewhere.

So how many of the 24 offenders are affiliated with the Democratic Party or any other mainstream reformist, progressive or leftist organisation? The answer is none. The only perpetrator arguably from the Left is Black nationalist Quintez Brown.

Trump not alone in falsely blaming others for his own evil.

Immediately after Kirk’s killing, Elon Musk tweeted, ‘The Left is the party of murder’.

As time went on, several within the Charlie Kirk vigil began to falsely accuse Sanchez’ group of being “Antifa.” Pointing to their masks, several began shouting at masked members of Patriot Front and Active Clubs to “show their face.” Several times, as the rhetoric from the white nationalist groups became even more explicit than usual, vigilgoers attempted to pray loudly and unsuccessfully to drown them out.

One man, carrying an American flag, taunted the group with several others. Calling them “un-American,” and “traitors,” he followed them to a parking garage several blocks away where the group was walking through. Suddenly, about a dozen began kicking and hitting him. The group then fled into the parking garage.

In 2018, speaking with the New York Times about a book in which he was featured, Tang offered a hint of disillusionment about the role of a dissident abroad.

“In the first year you speak brave, bold words,” he said. “In the second, nonsense. By the third, you have nothing to say at all.”

That missing comma in the original hed is rather unfortunate. I'm honestly surprised both Ben and Jerry are still alive!

Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Jerry Greenfield has stepped away from the ice-cream brand after nearly 50 years, according to a post by the other founder, Ben Cohen.

Cohen’s post shared what he said was a letter from Greenfield in which he called it one of the “hardest and most painful decisions” he had ever made.

Greenfield said the company had been silenced by Unilever and its independence to speak up on global issues was “gone”.

“If the company couldn’t stand up for the things we believed, then it wasn’t worth being a company at all,” Greenfield said.
