Hello,

I'm looking at the Meze Classics 99 vs the 109 Pros. Obviously the Pros are twice the amount.

I am listening in a quiet setting, in the early AM while my toddler sleeps!

Took a hearing test and these were my results. My right ear has some slight loss in the top end. Doctor said if I do any headphone stuff it should be very low. So my question is, is one set better for ear health than the other?

Part of me feels like closed headphones (which I prefer) might be worse as they lock in the sound to bounce around.

I was too indecisive this year and decided to buy both the HD 800S and LCD-X. I currently run a Magni 3 with Modi Multibit stack and feel like I should upgrade my stack. But I’ve heard that Planars and tube amps don’t mix.

Is there an Amp out there that’ll run both headphones to their maximum potential? Or would I need to have 2 separate amps?

Is apple lightning dac worse than BT?

So I heard that the apple donge is quite alright for what it offers. The thing is I usually listen to my Momentum 4s through BT. I was amazed by how good Pompeii MMXXIII was so I grabed the dongle hoping to get slightly better experience, but for some reason it sounded way worse than with BT, which somehow doesn't make sense to me. It sounded flat and not as dynamic, almost as if it lacked the 3Dness (sorry for lack of good terms).

Have I misunderstood something, or why could this have happened?

I’m using DT-770 80 ohm with a lightning adapter, seemingly at a pretty quiet level, but it’s saying 85-90dB. When I use my APPs, I usually stick around 65-70dB at a similar loudness level (at least to my ears). Does headphone safety incorrectly calculate the volume level with higher resistance headphones like mine?

Build I bought it around RM330 in my country currency. The build. Metal headband it claims to be a stainless steel headband only time will tell. Ear cup only tilt up and down.

The headband it's an automatic adjustment style similar to the akg k702. I never own akg before.

I wear spectacles. It's comfortable. Clamping force imo just nice. Overall comfortable.earcup soft pleather . Headband soft pleather . No hotspot. Just maybe it will get hot .

It looks like a semi open headphone but the outer cup it's just for design. It's a close back headphone. Outside earcup made of hard plastic mainly all plastic. Except for the headband and the hinge. Headband made of wire adjustment and pleather headband . Headphone feel light. Also comes with a cloth bag , and cable with mic attached. I guess the mic just so so.

Drivability; Anything can drive this thing. It's legit super easy phone , pc anything.

Sound quality: Song tested in flac , 320kbps . Source PC. Dac amp , fiio k1 dongle , suca audio dac q4 pro.

Song tested kpop aespa , new jeans, pop , anime song and piano , vocalist like Taeyeon and IU. Seafret ,

I just gonna sum up of what I hear. I feel like the bass is elevated , treble elevated. The mids it's quite balance. Vocals sound imo normal sometime piercing depends on what type of song you listening. Vocals are push back ABIT. The high hats , drums ,trumpet , all are very distinct. Can hear clearly. Each of the instruments are clear. Vocal clear too. They didn't merge together. If that makes sense.

Now comes to sound stage. The seller told me it's narrow. But to my surprise it's wider than the hd58x , hd600 imo. It also have the 3 blob effect. I can get the sense of the the instrument depts which is the first time for me. I couldn't hear it on my he400se. Non stealth , hd58x , hd600 etc.

Instrument have like dept effects and I know where it coming from. It's like drums on my left than the trumpet is behind the vocalist Futher etc. yeah. I know where each instrument coming from and all sound clear even though they are lots of instruments.

Vocals doesn't have airyness like the he400se. The sub bass just so so . The hd58x, sub bass is more impressive after eq.

Stock bass of the jt1 is punchy a little boosted same goes for the treble. These 2 are the one that stands out. Vocals just a little bit push back.

For the price of I want to compare to the he400se non stealth and shp9500.

Jt1 wins compare to the shp9500.

As for jt1 and he400se. He400se has hotspot on the head , heavy. Sound wise. It's not as punchy. It's a different tuning. But has air in the vocals.

Seperation. I think jt1 does better , soundstage and imaging too jt1 really give me the sense of instruments dept which I never hear on any other headphone I own.

Tuning of the jt1 imo boosted base , boosted treble. Not by alot but these 2 things are the thing that stands out.

Drawbacks. ABIT grainy especially since I own he400se , hd600 , hd58x , M40x etc etc.

Resolution : resolution isn't the best imo. It's just decent but resolution better than shp500 , I think it's almost the same as the he400se. Maybe the 400se is better. Other headphone I own resolution win over the jt1.

Ok stuff I am impressed with the soundstage it's quite wide imo. Wider than the hd58x , hd600 , he400se. It has dept too and the I can say I know where each vocalist , drums etc coming from left , right center etc. behind etc.

I do not play FPS games . So yeah.

I feel like this type of tuning sound unique I do not hate. I feel like it's decent . Won't say I love it either.

I feel like vocals it's not bad. Sound normal. Not above average. Hd58, and hd600 , even the he400se sound better for vocals.

This headphone I feel like good at seperation , good for guitar music , drums. Morden music.

Shp9500 sounds wash compared to this headphone that's all I can say. Build wise the shp9500 wins. Otherwise the sound jt1 wins.

He400se and jt1 imo both sound different. Since one it's planar the other is dynamic.

Conclusion. I feel like the only draw back is the resolution for this headphone . It's clear the sound. Music sound warm. Relax. More on bass sound. Sub bass is less. Vocals is not the strong point. Like something is missing. Feel like missing emotion or texture. It's not like the sennheiser. Resolution a little grainy.

Overall I think it's not bad. Imo music just sound smooth , relax. Maybe on the warmer side .

I have Moondrop Blessing 2 Dusks. In any Over-Ear it seems like my hearing is even between my ears, but in my Blessing 2 Dusks it seems like the left side is ever so slightly quieter. Since I got my higher end headphones, I've been to a good few metal and metalcore concerts without protection.

So I guess I'm just wondering if maybe my IEMs are showing the hearing damage I may have caused better than Over-Ears do, or if my Dusks are bad or broken? I've had them over a year, possibly closer to 2. They aren't used all that often, and I don't remember whether or not they've always been like this.

About a year ago I purchased a $100 dollar gaming headset from Logitech, specifically the Logitech G Pro wired edition; thinking that having a "high-quality" headset with an integrated microphone would make my life easier, but the Logitech G Hub gave me a lot of issues and the quality overall was slightly below what I expected.

So, 2 days ago I managed to snag a White Version of the 1000XM4's for about $220 USD post tax, not sure if it was a good deal, I do want to make it clear I am outside of America, so it could be cheaper there.

Issue is... I expected something of higher quality.

Don't get me wrong, the headphones sound great, the build quality is good, the noise-cancelling is superb... but I expected something leagues above my gaming headset, whereas, they sound somewhat similar.

I tried playing around with the equalizer setting, but everything sounds so ... low volume?
I got a free trial at Deezer's Hi-Fi audio streaming, which I assume is FLAC, and I honestly cannot tell the difference between Spotify's streaming with my gaming headset and Deezer's FLAC streaming with my Sony's.

I'm not very adamant with my sound quality, for most of my life I used a past model version of Senheisser's HD 598 SE and it had been my favourite headphones I've used.

Anyone else?

Recommend me the best of the best, the problem is I don't know how to chose the right tws, I have small ears. I remember a saying that the sound of Tws for a medium budget and high budget is the same, is this true?

Hello everyone, I recently broke the cable that came with my IEMs. I've had trouble finding an official replacement cable. Do any of you have suggestions for an alternative that works well with Bravery?

i bought hifiman ananda 2022 on black friday sale for 399eur new

i was considering audeze mm100 and avanton plannar the II but with audeze is their avaibility is still very limited and i think i caould be fragile to this 3khz bump and i dont eq headphones

avanton plannar the II i did not find any meaningfull reviews of them hard to pay 466Eur without knowing what i am buying

so i did choose ananda 2022 not because hifiman is known for their qc in contrary i did buy them because they were avaible on amazon and i know well amazon return and warranty

and i am now thinking did i made mistake maybe, you know buyers remorse, always something better around a corner .

so would audeze mm 100 better then those?

I have waner and Nari ultimates and was kinda just testing the difference, I know theres a huge price difference there, but it led to the question. I could hear the guitars in the backgoround much clearly with my headphones than I could with my iems, I was wondering if it's like that with all IEMs compared to headphones or just because the waner are cheaper?

Have been looking at a new pair of he1000 V2 stealth for $1999

The he1000se is currently listed at hifimans website for $1749 refurbished and end up at roughly the same price after shipping and as I understood they are pretty much a little bit better at everything.

Can you trust hifimans refurbished products? I saw one post where someone got mold on the headband and several posts where they got brand new perfect pairs aswell.

Apart from the mold thing and that the headphones might have some smaller blemishes. Is there a known issue with the drivers being faulty to a bigger extent than buying new ones?

Are the 1000se so much better that it's worth taking a leap of faith on the refurb to get the same price as the V2 stealth?

Always wanted Meze's and the 99 was going for a good price. I'm thoroughly pleased about the overall build quality! Any tips for a new owner? (Where to purchase cables, best DAC to use and where to procure replacement parts)

I have an EverSolo Dmp A6 streamer connected to the network and I stream most of the time from Tidal Hi Res. I also have a laptop with a Dac. Both the Eversolo and the Dac are connected to two separate headphone amps.

Issue is that the EverSolo does not provide an Equalizer. I can use a digital EQ on my laptop but I do not really have a solution for the EverSolo Streamer.

I would use the equalizer mostly for the headphones.

I could potentially use the Equalizer from Roon as the EverSolo is Roon ready but I would use it only for the EQ and it would be a bit expensive over time.

Does enyone know an alternative digital solution that I can run on a NAS or on my laptop connected to the same network of the EverSolo? Or any other solution to add a digital Equalizer to the EverSolo setup? Or perhaps not digital without having a drop in sound quality?

Thanks a lot for any suggestion. I can provide more info.

I've seen so many negative and mediocre reviews for these IEMs, in my opinion, they sound really good. It's really strange to see positive reviews for a set that sounds similar but with a really worse tonality like the Aful Magic Ones.

The build quality of the aria 2 is one of the best seen in iems on that price range, for that amount of money you have very well built iems, a cable that alone would cost half of the price, a very nice case that you find in more expensive iems.

The sound is very balanced but not boring, we have an excellent "color" in the mid bass which finally makes the voices right and full.

As for gaming, this is an excellent set, the mid-highs are boosted just right to give you a feeling of space and high details.

Thank you for reading!
