After getting jealous from seeing the results of skill, patience, and stacking macro photos in the news, I was pleased to find today's crop of photos using a Canon R6 + RF 100mm macro lens can still do a satisfying photo.

I'm guessing it's a Common Wasp, but don't have the knowledge to be sure!

I do most of my macro photography with a Nikon d3300 and an old manual lens, a 55/f3.5 Micro-Nikkor P Auto from 1972.

Trying out my new camera and lens. I didn't expect getting such good results with no practice on the R7, but it does 99% of the job.

The desert rose (Adenium obesum) is a slow-growing plant, only growing about 12 inches per year. Such beautiful blooms!

Shot and tweaked on a Pixel 6 Pro at 4x (nominally around 100mm, but in macro situations it actually upscales from the main 24mm equivalent lens, not the 103mm periscope telephoto)
