No idea how Rockstar fits in.

The announcement came shortly after Rockstar announced they won't be making physical copies. It was either pre-planned, or rockstar inspired Sony.

Pre-planned. Sony doesn’t make this sort of decision on a whim. They announced a staged exit of optical media in 2024, and closed their BR recorder lines in February.

Next year, Sony will exit home entertainment, handing its TV and media player business to TCL. This would have left Sony Interactive as the last subsidiary still pursuing optical hardware.

Or the last manufacturer of optical media stopped?

Sony DADC in Germany is the last Sony manufacturer, and it’s being transitioned towards lens manufacturing.

Soo, how many of them are still around?

I thought it was just 2 or 3 still active.

They literally just sent you the list. I count at least 27.
