I have an ASUS Zenfone 8 and I love that even the latest version still has a 3.5mm out, but I just started poking around in the settings for my Samsung Galaxy tablet and realized that Samsung Galaxy devices get Dolby Atmos. (Movies have never been better!) It got me thinking, what phones do other auditorily-inclined people use? Does AptX/LDAC support matter to you? Does audio go into your purchasing decisions at all?

Still daily drive my LG V60 for almost 3 years now, using it because it can drive pretty much all of my headphones and iems with ease even my 250ohm beyer sounds full and dynamic with the V60 headphone jack. The sound is also very clean on the V60 no distortion what so ever to be heard even with the sensitive iem. Previously I'm using LG G7 which sounds amazing too before the screen suddenly not working and decided to upgrade it to the V60.

So true. Will be interesting to see how much further these can go. I'm still using my V20 on the network but that's only until 4G gives way whenever that is. Then it will just be my V60's as long as the 5G holds.

Hopefully by then LG will have come to their senses and will be making High Audio Grade phones again.

I have one too! I'm sad though, because the USB port is finnicky and I have to position it in a particular way to get it to play nice, so I can't use a USB-C DAC with it or anything.

I also switched to T-Mobile so I'm having problems... I might just say fuck it and find a T-Mobile LG V60 online and buy a new one of those, lmao

Be careful of "New In Box" scams.
