I was messing with my EQ settings, putting +10 and +20 db on some ranges of frequencies to see how it would sound like, but the thing is that my amp (a humble Apple dongle) doesn't have enough power to drive them that loud, so it was likely clipping/distorting the sound. Can this have damage my headphones in any way?

Please be aware that +3 dB raise roughly equals double the power that amp needs to pump into affected frequency.

+20 dB is crazy.

I'm new to this, how do you see how many db is it? How do you change the settings?
