- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Maybe if you organized and formed a broad grassroots movement based around communication to catch a W, like Michiganders did, instead of being a vitriolic dickhead, you'd have better options.
I mean some of us who said that actually meant it. Despite all of the wailing, tactical voting remains the correct way to participate in first past the post elections, even for leftists.
Tactical voting from a group of people that only have propaganda to work with instead of facts means you’re just guessing.
Tactical voting may be the correct way to participate in FPTP elections, but unfortunately still doesn't lead to a good outcome, just like leaping out the window of a burning skyscraper to avoid being burned alive is the better choice.

Yeah, it makes for a simple effective slogan. Unfortunately the neoliberals specifically are the big flaw in it. As they openly won't. There needs to be a simple catchy way to convey voting against Republicans in the most effective way possible. Which often but not always would be voting blue.
How 'bout "It's us or the bigots"
Because it isn't and unfortunately can't be. That's the sort of luxury only someone with control can be afforded. And we don't have that. Unless you're privileged enough to live in a blue state/region.
Sometimes you have to Ally with someone else you would normally be against just to make sure the worst possible person doesn't succeed. That is, if you hope to accomplish anything. Otherwise it's just empty virtue signaling here.

The vitriol is real, but in this case undeserved.
There historically has been a lot of reluctance to. And there was a lot of dirty campaigning in the primaries. Like what you'd expect in the general normally. Not to mention there's been a lot of baseless neoliberal pearl clutching, not strictly related to this in particular that's already getting ugly. It was never a given they would concede magnanimously. But so far it seems they have. Which is good. Hopefully the sooner people like James Carville or Bill Maher switch their registrations to Republican. The situation will only improve.
