A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

Hello, I am looking at using a light meter with our Sony FX3's & 6's. Their high base native ISO is 12'800. I know I can blag it slightly with the Sekonic l-398a as this goes to 12'000 and the L-308 will not allow us to select 12'800. Does anyone have a Light Meter they can recommend, Or see how high the ISO setting will go to on your light meter, please?

Does anyone know what the Maximum setting is on the Sekonic L-478D, please?

Thanks everyone! Appreciate the help!

Is this really a thing? A base ISO of 12,000 is basically unusable in every day use. Is this a specialized camera for some specific use?

Otherwise, just use whatever light meter you have and calculate the difference. Elementary exposure calculation.
