Interestingly, "Florida Man" news stories are largely the result of a law called the Government in the Sunshine Act. The Surprising Truth About FLORIDA MAN!

Don't sell us so short, we're not the only state with Sunshine Laws. For example, have you ever heard of Missouri Man?
