A little experiment.

Since I’m generally known for creating broad and wide cityscape photography, I kinda wanted to see how broad and wide I could go. The editing for this took a little bit, but it came out quite nice. I kept the haze in the background; a little haze is nice sometimes and keeps the details from being overwhelming. I hope the people in the house immediately next door to where I shot this didn’t mind the tripod being set up for so long!

Thanks for seeing my work!

Oh no, Lemmy actually killed the original picture. The original was 14,692 x 3,834, and Lemmy just said “fuck that.”

:(

There must be someplace else to host the full image

you should check out catbox.moe, quite a few folk on lemmy seem to use it!

that aside, you've got a pretty fun photo here, and are furthering our urge to actually head up to portland for once...

Glad I could help! You know, @brookedSmile@lemmy.blahaj.zone and I are up here.

I just went there for the first time and had a great vacation exploring the city and the surrounding natural areas. I even made the drive up north to see the temperate rainforest and the ocean.

one of the subtle pain points of federated social media... every instance seems to have a different image hosting configuration. i originally tried to use my blahaj account to post here but it kept eating my uploads :(

great shot though! cool to see all the little details in the full size image. that bridge is one of the most scenic city bridges i've ever crossed by car, especially at night!
