Escargot are delicious. Just drown them in butter. Ant would like them.

Butter, garlic, snails, toast. Smash.

For those who haven’t had it, the texture of the snails isn’t gross at all, it’s quite pleasant. If you didn’t know it was snails you’d just immediately think it was delicious, but have no idea what kind of protein it was. If you like mussels, clams, calimari, I feel like you’d like escargot.

My dad used to be in a country/western band with his brother and a couple other dudes. My mom, great cook, would do the escargot and garlic butter and brioche for special occasions and my dad would rave about them. One time the boys in the band were travelling in the van and stopped at a grocery store for food, one guy decided he'd buy five cans of escargot and eat them out the can, plain, with a plastic fork, and kept telling the other guys "naw Ed says these are great you just gotta get a taste for em".
