Moderator Guidelines
Moderator Guidelines
- Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
- Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
- When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
- Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
- Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
- Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
- Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
- Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
- Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
- Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
- Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
- Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
- First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
- Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
- No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
- Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
- Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.

do you have a reputable source for a .223 shell being found?
by the time the shooter has reached the area seen in the surveillance footage, he had already ditched the rifle, which was later found abandoned by law enforcement; no one is claiming that he is hiding it in his pants in that footage
That is a lot of promises and not a single link.
You are also introducing a lot of hypotheticals that are clearly nonsensical as a gotcha to make the official version of the events look ridiculous, but they are simply not what the official version claims. Like I said, no one is claiming that the shooter was concealing the rifle in the surveillance shot that shows them running away, and no one is claiming that they assembled or disassembled any rifles throughout their presence at the crime scene.
Before trying to debunk something, please get your story straight as to what you're actually debunking, and do not promise evidence before you have a working link to the source that you can share. There is no practical difference between claiming evidence exists and you just need to get back from your 21-hour trip to the store and outright fabricating it.
The theory that it's connected to Israel sounds tenuous at best. It sounds anti-semitic at worst. Kirk was spreading American Evangelicalism which is a direct boon to Israel because the biggest non-jewish Zionists are evangelical.
I've seen the trope way too many times, where the shadowy Jews are killing the elites and are obviously responsible for everything from vaccines and autism to killing JFK to leaking war plans in the Dryfus affair. The further you get away from the nation state of Israel, the less likely I am to believe that Israel is to blame. We'll probably figure out why he was killed in the end. Or maybe not
In this particular event i don't believe he was murdered by Israel but there is verifiable false flags by israel that's why many people fall into conspiracy theories. Even lies against israel is not antisemetic because israel do not represent jews in fact murdered many jews in history.
Even that can be a bit blurry. When it comes to criticizing Israel, the guidance I have is to be specific. There's a big difference between saying that Israel is creating an apartheid state in the West Bank, vs Isreal controls the US government. And one has to be a little more on their facts, because anti-semites will use legitimate criticism of the state of Israel to mask their antisemitism. The poster who started this comment thread is much more so the ladder especially by doubling down with the crypto red-pill bs.
I'm going to refer to the GOAT, Philosophy Tube and her video on anti-Semitism
I think most people use influence and control interchangeably. Israel influence on western countries to make them silent against genocide and settler colonialism is a fact
Islamophobic people will use legitimate opposition of ISIS to portray all Muslims are bloodthirsty. The point is yes everything could be weaponed by bigots . There are antisemitic people who will lie about Israel but it doesn't mean every person even lying about Israel is antisemitic because Israel do not represent all jews .
The exact same dynamic applies to Saudi Arabia, where valid opposition to authoritarian governance is sometimes pushed to extremes, resulting in manufactured falsehoods and deliberate exaggerations
Cut it with the crypto Nazi bullshit. You're talking out of your ass
This is bullshit and not how pro-Israel influence in US politics works. Kirk was broadly accepted by the republican mainstream and didn't stray too far from the party line. In fact he was for a while harrassed by Groypers in part because he refused to adopt bald-faced anti-semitism into his rethoric. This theory might well have originated in those circles.
Funny, Israel said the same thing about you being an anti salmon. Funny how that works.
But how the fuck would you know anything about how the ruling class works if you don't understand you can't accept salacious allegations at face value?
Doesn't make you very credible.
