Here is something I find myself wishing for in Piefed:
A "suggest a community" option - because not everyone has the time or energy to start and manage their own, maybe if it gets a certain vote and someone volunteers as moderator it gets created.

I take the risk of being downvoted to oblivion with this, but this sounds like a perfect case for a bot that would use text embeddings and clusterization in order to group suggestions and connect people.

"I am interested in helping open hardware, self managed communities, especially in France"

-> "Two people are interested in starting FabLabFr, can I connect you with them?"
