That kind of price drop is nice. Seems like anything missing from the original won’t be missed. It does have a very specific use case though. RDP or VNC (or other remote software) is going to do the job better in many cases.
But if you wanted to (for example) get into the BIOS or install an OS, this would be helpful.
I have an original I was using when I’d get VNC crashes I couldn’t diagnose and had to reboot the machine manually.
I use it to enter a tpm pin after reboot. Security™.
