Can someone inform me why Varane is leaving?

[–] ZaDoruphin@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (3 children)

Fell out hard with Ten Hag apparently.

[–] tmrss@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

are there any players that havent fallen out with ten hag lol

[–] humunculus43@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Because he doesn’t know how to man manage at a level beyond the school playground. Management is all about push and pull but he seems to have an approach where he wants everyone to be a little boy. Compare how he manages to how Ancelotti gets the best out of his players. Pep and Klopp are both annoying demanding fuckers but seem to avoid falling out with their best players

Not a single good source has said anything about then falling out btw. People on here just like to talk out of their asses, just like you

Casemiro and Varane mysteriously being left out of his teams for "tactical" reasons, and now they are going to leave. What do you think happened?

[–] StringTailor@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Have you not watched Varane this season? He has not been up to par. Evans has outplayed him at the age of 38. He was benched for being below standard and Maguire and Evans have stepped up. This is not a slight at EtH’s man management, but an exhibition of it

[–] SwitchHitter17@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Yes, he has been terrible, especially that Copenhagen game. Many Man U fans were questioning Ten Hag's decision to leave him out of the starting XI before that though. I think Casemiro was the more puzzling omission, but maybe that was due to him not being fit?

I'm not saying it's Ten Hag's fault, but it does seem like there is something going on there. Maybe I am talking out of my ass but I wouldn't be surprised.

Casimiro has also been below par tbf, but he's mostly been injured more than anything

[–] sankers23@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Lmao if thats true seven hag is worse than i thought.

[–] YCJamzy@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Being benched for a cb paring of evans and Maguire, I’d want out too

[–] SpiritedSuccess5675@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I would stay, easiest 300k per week

[–] SnooRabbits2394@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I don't think he'll be getting NT call being on the bench all the time .

[–] tarakian-grunt@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

He retired for France.

[–] StringTailor@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

He’s getting outplayed by Evans tbh. Varane has been pretty bum this season, and a lot of cheap mistakes. I think he checked out long before EtH benched him

His heart has not been in it

Because he clearly took the job after being told to clear out the high earners in the squad. It’s not a coincidence that the 5 top earners when he joined (Ronaldo, DDG, Sancho, Casemiro, Varane) are all either being sold, exiled or terminated

[–] D1794@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Bollocks, there's no agenda to get rid of the high earners without obvious season.

Sancho is SHIT. Lazy, underperforming and did nothing for his entire time here. And his attitude clearly stinks.

De Gea did not suit any modern team and it's shown by the fact he's still without a club.

Ten Hag repeatedly said he wanted to work with Ronaldo but with no pre season he rotated him, Ronnie didn't like it and went crying to Piers Morgan. Ten Hag didn't push him out, Ronnie jumped.

Case is 31 and having a bad season. Varane is 30 and injury prone. Not exactly ground breaking to be thinking about potential exits for these players

[–] cGilday@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Right, it’s just a complete conspiracy that the Glazers who want to save money employed a manager who allowed his best players to be sold at Ajax for profit and are having him replace all the high earners with lower earners. This is all just one big coincidence to you is it?

It’s crazy how our fans shit on the Glazers while supporting every action of theirs lmao. If it’s just about performance why aren’t Antony or Rashford being pushed out? If it’s about injuries why isn’t Shaw being pushed out? If it’s about having a “bad season” why are all the players on lower wages getting away with it?

If you think any serious club keeps McTominay and Maguire only to sell Varane and Casemiro then I just don’t know what to tell you at this point

[–] D1794@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Ten Hag doesn't want to play him or Maguire on the left side. Maguire's been in reasonable form so he's benched Varane. Getting dropped in big games for Evans prob hurts Varane.

But all that being said it's just speculation, not long ago we heard reliable stories saying Varane accepted Ten Hag's decisions to not play him, now the gutter stories saying he was fuming with it.
