For instance, the Suns are currently fighting for a wildcard spot. If they are blowing out the Grizzles by the third quarter (by 25+ points), would Vogel keep Booker/KD in to maximize their point differential, or still dump out the bench as in a normal NBA game?

Will a team hold off on a game winning shot in a tie game to force OT if they need to run up a point differential for the tournament?
