The rich are not subjected to the same set of laws/standards as the non-rich. If anyone has had to go through the court system with a lawyer that one is paying a lot, you'll know just how much of a game it is that can be "played" (quite skilfully) from the arraignment right on through to sentencing/dismissal, not that anyone here has any doubts about that, but it sure is reinforced every day all the time forever and always, aint it?
