Do refs want players to intentionally collide with opponents instead of hanging on the rim? Because he pulled himself up to make sure he didn't kick Paolo in the head.

Penalizing players for actions taken to avoid the risk of injuring opponents is quite possibly the second worst thing refs can do, besides you know fixing games
