...yeah looking at some of the new nurses and doctors who are using AI to limp their way through school, AI has already begun to "free us from the tyranny of facts" by giving us a new generation of idiots who have outsourced the act of thinking to the spellchecker-on-meth running on their phone.

I was in a coffee shop the other day, and this group of youngins' were doing their homework, maybe 13-14 years old.

This girl was begging his friend to let him borrow his internet for ChatGPT because she didn't want to look for the answer in her notes. It's gonna wreck havoc on every generations and the younger ones will be royally fucked.

His friend was pushing back saying that LLMs waste electricity and water, and that the answer was in fact, in her notes.

So there is hope at least.
