Photo editing software. People have become compositionally lazy from the mindset of ‘take a picture it and “fix” it in photoshop so that it looks like I imagined it when I took the shot,’ instead of having the patience and skill and taking the time to capture a photograph that needs no post-processing.
Photoshop IS NOT PHOTOGRAPHY!
OMG FINALLY! Someone actually speaking sense here. I scrolled far too long to find a comment like this, and didn't actually think I would. I could have written what you wrote, verbatim.
I do use VSCO filters to achieve a certain vibe and effect but I try not to adjust the image too much - but it does happen esp when I take the picture in a hurry 🥲
I’ve tried to “fix” a shit shot many times in Photoshop. Doesn’t work. It’s just a sign you have to do better on location next time. It’s part of the learning process.
