Not sure if this is directed @ OKC or PHI broadcast but I actually like Homer announcers for local broadcasts, as long as they’re factually accurate I think it’s good for announcers to be rooting for the team in the city they’re broadcasting to

being a homer implies you are selective in your analysis and uncharitable to opposing views

you can root without being a homer

Ah I had a different idea of the meaning. To me it means visibly pulling for one team or another, which national broadcasts try to avoid.

I agree that the best local broadcasters provide accurate analysis while emotionally rooting for the home team.
