Why would Bill belichick draft a receiver in the top 5 when he can trade down three times only to draft the safety at Rutgers and the defensive tackle from random d3 school? It's all about maximizing value.

Especially because the last time he drafted a first round receiver he was deceived by that draft class.

N’keal Henry was clearly the best receiver in that class and he was awful so he’ll never draft a WR above the 5th round again
