This is a pretty hype game, both teams sit tied with the worst record in the league, and since it's early in the season they should both be looking to win the game.

Definitely the best game at the 7 PM ET slot, this is a legacy defining game for these two teams.

I keep seeing this narrative about them every year but what teams that finish ahead of them regularly are they actually better than on paper?

hawks hype has been overblown ever since Trae basically carried them to the ECF in 2021. problem is Trae might have hit his ceiling in that playoff and they haven't added any real pieces around him to make them much better than what they were back then.

Cade/Poole/Ausar/Kuzma/Duren, backups would be Tyus/Ivey/Burks/Kispert/Avdija/Bogdanovic/Stewart/Gafford. Not a bad team but probably at best a bad playoff team or play in team.
