One underrated storyline from this early season is that Embiid suddenly is a better playmaker than Giannis

They've like switched abilities from their 2021ish selves from what I've seen as well as statistically

It’s the system. They’re not making him pass out of post iso or against set defenses. They’re using him like Jokic, getting him the ball on rolls keeping it on hand off sets so there’s movement and defensive rotation. He’s not a great passer with his back to the basket, but excels finding gaps when he’s facing the basket.

Giannis is frequently fixated on dribbling into defenders and looking to spin or euro off them. He tends to get too deep before passing on those.

LeBron is also at his best passing in that kind of situation (looking at moving parts). They just don’t capitalize on it by building it into their attack.
