I know nothing about how soccer works, but do you mean teams from leagues in other countries that are lower level or second tier leagues (like the ones that teams get relegated to).

Really wish we had a relegation system in the US somehow, quite like that idea.

I mean teams from minor leagues in the US. And I'm not talking about a promotion/relegation system, I just mean have G League or other minor league teams play in the in-season tournament. That's all.
