So people actually think this guy is a child predator? There were several freshman and sophomore girls at my high school (and probably everywhere) who wanted "status" relationships with seniors. And in a few cases those relationships continued after the guys went to college. So someone who is college age dating a high school girl is not as rare as people seem to think.

And I don't know what state the girl lives in, but age of consent in many states is as low as 16. And in some states there are exceptions for age differential, even if the girl is "under age". He's getting all this hate when no one really knows if he broke a law. And if everyone knows who the girl is (meaning her parents know what happened), and her parents haven't pressed charges, I'm not seeing much coming out of this, except the usual media mob that wants to sensationalize everything.

People have completely watered down what pedophile means now. Two high schoolers could be dating and the second one of them turns 18, a lot of very stupid people would call that person a pedophile now.

Americans don't know what pedophilia is or actually even care. They just want to crucify people. A 19 year old with (allegedly) a 15 year old is worse than murder to them.
