As a Timberwolves fan, I'd say it's ALREADY worth it. There were multiple full seasons where we literally barely won as much the whole year as have right now at 13. We're relevant. We're fun to watch. We're playing for today. We're in contention. We haven't had that in 20 years. I don't care what non-Timberwolves fans think tbh. They don't get it. Most of yall skip around with your favorite players anyway. You don't know what it's like to follow a losing team for decades. Only Kings bros can talk to us. I'm not losing sleep over some basic bench players and some #25-30 draft picks. We aren't #1 in the West without Gobert. Full stop.
Now I'm gonna enjoy this season that (barring injuries) will continue to be a blast
100%, other fan bases don't understand Minnesota sports at all. We have been dying to see a good Timberwolves team forever. Now that it's here you see Target Center packed night after night with the most passionate crowd in the league.
I dare anyone to actually watch a Wolves home game and see all that excitement and energy and then say "overpay".
I wasn't even aware people attended weeknight games until this year. It's wild seeing a sellout on a Tuesday night.
People have thought that MN isn't a good basketball state because we're the state if hockey, but it's really been because the team has been so bad for so long nobody wants to go to the games. MN is a great basketball state, we're pumping out multiple 4* or higher HS recruits per year now, and obviously the crowds at Target Center
It's really too bad Coyle is a terrible AD and made the hires here has. The barn is dead as can be.
Badgers have won a lot of big ten games with decent-enough kids from Minnesota who you should be kept in state.
Such a bummer. The Barn when it's packed and has energy is my favorite sports venue in Minnesota.
