The Pistons are awful. They aren't even bad with purpose right now. Lineups don't make sense. Positions players are being put in don't make sense. It's just a complete and total mess.

Sometimes teams are bad. It happens. And it's often with purpose. Spurs are also bad, but they are trying to figure out what they have. Pistons just seem to show up, do the same stuff, lose and repeat the process.

Being bad without purpose is just wasting a season.

Pistons are currently down 31 and about to lose their 15th in a row.

Spacing is the biggest issue they have. They have 0 spacing. As teams are playing stretch 4s, they have a rim running C and a backup C who they’re forcing to be an pf starting. Other than Cade, there’s no one who can average 18 on that roster. Maybe Ivey gets there but not yet. Defenses are doubling Cade knowing Duren, ausar, beef stew, and to an extent Ivey can’t punish them. They can’t bench ausar obviously. But if he improves his shooting even corner 3s, and they replace beef stew with bojan, they’ll look much better.

Pistons GM logic: "Ok we need to get Cade shooters this off-season"

drafts Ausar, adds Wiseman and Bagley

Ausar is amazing defensively but he is hurting them bad on the offensive end because of horrible spacing.
