The concept of "human scale" is most known in urban design and architecture, but it provides a good framework to think about a lot of different aspects of our lives.

What even is this? The author is scared of crypto so they want to slow computers down? What editor allowed this to be published ?
Edit: the author's other articles are also mostly anti-tech alarmist bs
It doesn't have to be related to crypto. The point is that we have some technologies that are meant to make things more convenient, but in a lot of cases too much convenience is a bad thing.
Example: "tap-to-pay" credit or debit cards based on NFC are incredibly easy to be skimmed. You can go with a POS terminal to a really crowded area, and activate a transaction just by walking really close to people.
Oh noes! Kids these days are just moving too fast, they need to slow down and smell the roses... ?
They do, actually. Some people seriously need to touch grass. Most stuff in life, in particular digital stuff, is not urgent.
That's such a stupid argument jesus christ
What is happening with Lemmy recently? Is the winter affecting everyone's mood? Are you okay?
