Not sure how you classify sizes. It's small for an SUV in markets where it's called Escape (and not Kuga). It's average for a crossover (CUV), it's actual class. It has the same footprint as a Focus wagon (6" longer than a hatchback) and 9" taller. It's a foot shorter than a Fusion sedan. I find passenger space to be annoyingly upright and couldn't get comfortable driving one for more than an hour despite being under 6ft. It's definitely small by American standards.
