Are the mods here planning to do any special type of work on this community? Because I've seen that Threads has added a new feature about live score tracking, and I'm wondering if something similar can be done on !nba@nba.space.
(Also, I've already asked @TrippyFocus@lemmy.ml whether he'd be interested in joining forces there, and I'd like to extend the invite to all mods here)
Could you elaborate on the additional features? I don't know much about Threads and if that feature is open sourced.
We had game/post-game threads all last year. High seas links are banned now, so it cannot be exactly the same as last year.
I'm open to moving if there's real benefits, I'll take a look at the features
Additional features, and viability of the new instance.
So what's the next move? A quick poll? A first try?
The one thing that I have in mind is improving the reddit bot for match threads and adding real time score tracker and links to game highlights.
Not willing to make prominent displays of sailor's links, but I could let the mods run a bot that sends DMs to users who ask a specific question.
Yeah that's my bad, I got busy with work and kept forgetting to bring it up since I wasn't sure how to @ everyone from mobile.
@vodkasolution@feddit.it @Alchemy@lemmy.world @OttoVonNoob@lemmy.ca @RandAlThor@lemmy.ca @cavsfan@lemmy.world @rezz@lemmy.world
Hey everyone, as @rglullis@communick.news just mentioned, they reached out about possibly moving this community to a new instance. I had been meaning to see if before this season starts if we wanted to move away from .world anyway due to the issues we had before with rezz getting banned for the high seas links.
I never got around to confirming with any instance admins if they'd allow those out in the open and it looks like rgullis would allow a bot that could DM links to the sites which might be a better/more sustainable workaround if everyone is open to it?
I am unable to see any content on your instance at all, unless I log out from my instance. There might be issues there?
Language settings?
Been there done that. It's fixed on my end. I don't have any languages chosen. When it was picked, I can't see most posts or comments.
Can you subscribe to it just fine, or is it in "pending" state?
"pending"
Can you try unsubbing and trying again? I checked with people with multiple different instances and it seems to be working fine...
Still the same.
Then I'd ask you to please check again your language settings, or talk with the admin of your instance. There really is no reason for it to be failing.
What happens if you try posting to the community? (I noticed now that my comments are only accepted if I let the language as "undetermined")
I have no issues posting or commenting here or anywhere else. Yours is the first. What instance is yours? Why don't you report this to your instance admin? I never heard of your instance until you started this comment. You're the one wanting to us to move there for what?
I am the instance admin, and I am asking you to check it precisely because I am trying to troubleshoot it...
I checked already. Can you kindly ask Lemmy.ca admins if they haven't federated with yours. Much better that way. What is your instance called?
