That's good. Star wars needs new ideas, and new thoughts that aren't Star wars. The best Star wars shows are the ones that really want to throw away all of the lore that made people interested in Star wars.

After all, the best way to expand your consumer base is to eliminate everything your existing consumers enjoyed about the property so you can attract different ones. Existing fan bases never leave!

Just make a new IP. At this point, I won't touch a star wars show. One of the more recent ones obviously started as something else, but got retooled into a star wars show.

That doesn't sound like it's all being thrown out, more like he's avoiding Skywalkers.
