It's been a long road gettin' from there to here.
I'm currently watching DS9 and Enterprise is next on my list .... Star Trek definitely gives one a perspective of humanity that is much needed.
TFW you realize you're in the Mirror Universe.
TFW you realize that even if we're in the Prime Universe, we're living through the Bell Riots and WWIII is right around the corner.
TFW when you realize that we aren't living in any of those universes but we're going to have a totalitarian world order, the Bell Riots, WWIII, no interstellar engine technology and no Vulcans coming to save us.
On the plus side, that means we'll just die out instead of going out and destroying other civilizations.
