I also enjoy video games.
I don't think that feature-length films make sense in this environment. They're long, formulaic, and somewhat predictable because of that

The length of movies isn't what's wrong with most films, bad writing is. And there's tons of movies with great writing out there. They didn't just stop making good movies when Disney started dominating - you've just become less exposed to them
Eh, I'd argue that the format is somewhat obsolete. When you have to travel to a cinema and pay an entry fee, the content needs to justify that effort
Now that most content is consumed at home, feature films don't necessarily need to exist as they have. The TV show format has adapted to the British model of a few short seasons, maybe just one.
For certain types of feature film, I'd much rather see a miniseries that allows even more content to get screen time and tells a more developed story (documentaries have moved in this direction).
(Yes there are great feature films still being made and I never said there aren't... But the vast majority are not worth the time they demand that I give them)
