My only complaint with Flat Beat is that the song never goes anywhere. Just the same, flat, unchanging beat for an entire five minutes and 25 seconds. I suppose that's the point.

I don't disagree. There were better songs on the Analog Worms Attack album but that is the song I remember the name of having not heard it in a decade or more.
