CJMusic Oct 7, 2023:

Joe Biden is the worst US president in history.

CJMusic Jul 6, 2024:

It would appear that, in light of Biden failing and floundering, the Dems sent their minions out to foment panic about Project 2025. It won't work.

CJMusic May 1, 2025:

I regret voting for Trump.

My husband is laid off and can't find a job and my kids' credit scores have tanked bc of his student loan policy.

This is not what I voted for.

This is not what I voted for

"I voted for other people to suffer, and now I'm suffering. Is there no fairness in this world?"

Either that, or:

"When Donald Trump mentioned what a fine man Hannibal Lecter is before shuffling around to the YMCA, my brain registered that as him telling me everything that I wanted to hear because I'm a delusional psychopath with no grip on reality that thinks the world revolves around me."

It all boils down go "I voted for them to hurt people" and then they act surprised when they're the ones being hurt.

The Hannibal Lecter thing drives me nuts, because Trump clearly heard someone mention immigration from political asylum and confused that with mental asylums.

I wish the press would have picked up on it and called him out.

I'm pretty sure he praised OJ Simpson at some point in the middle of all of that as well. He was also very concerned about offshore wind farms killing whales in record numbers. And there was that one incident where he just stood around on stage saying and doing nothing for an hour while golden oldies played.

The press was too busy printing headlines about Trump calling Biden "sleepy Joe" though. And honestly I'm not sure if an honest and fair press would've even helped in this case. It would've just been librul deep state propaganda. And they would've just gone on with their decorative diapers, foam fingers and Trump bibles regardless.

It wouldn't have helped. You can go online and see all of the semi reasonable convesations with trump supporters out in public and the all want to hold on to the idea he is a good, sane choice. They never accept the evidence. They just reluctantly shrug.

Some people can't see the train coming until they get hit by it.

[–] ferrule@sh.itjust.works 3 points 6 hours ago

Big Smoke: Look the fuck out, CJ! The train

[–] Geetnerd@lemmy.world 8 points 19 hours ago

He was never concerned about offshore wind turbines in any serious way.

He just didn't like that he thought they were an eyesore to his Scottish golf course.

That's it. That's the only reason.

And then you had those peasants who refused to sell their land adjacent to it. Who wants to see a peasant dump when you play golf on the best golf course in Scotland? Why can't we just kill them like Longshanks would have done?

I wish the press would have picked up on it and called him out.

There are so, so, so many instances of this. If they'd picked up on a few more we wouldn't be in this mess. But they ignored them all because they're complicit in all of this.

They did this with Reagan, but Reagan was smarter than Trump, and understood the rules of common decency, even if he was just as callous, and indifferent. He didn't bite that hand that fed him, and knew his place. He was a "face," and knew it. Reagan could be controlled. Trump cannot, even if most of his actions benefit his masters. So far, Trump has been a useful idiot for the billionaire's goals, but he's losing his mind, and let his latest election think he's God.

There's a reason these billionaire funded think tanks target frustrated and failed entertainers. Failed script writers, actors, stand up comedians, musicians. They all crave success, adulation, power, and most importantly... money. Which the billionaires have falling out of their asses.

They're all narcissists. Seriously, look into the past ambitions of people like Shapiro, Walsh, Pool, Owens, Crowder, Rogan, etc. All failed entertainers, or entertainment adjacent. It makes a lot of sense to enlist these people.

And then you have insignificant "intellectuals," who never made groundbreaking discoveries, like Jordan, and those two brothers I can't remember the names of, and don't care to find out. You know the ones. They crave adulation, power, and money, too. More narcissism.

It's usually the dumbest, most infantile reason with him. He just negotiated rare earth materials with Ukraine, and he's after them again in Greenland. I'm starting to think he wants them because they literally have "rare" in the name.
