Yes, and a government taking away privacy rights that is giving into authoritarianism and a corporation trying to control the situation is textbook fascism.

Trying to pretend a corporation hack is the good guy or the government is right are both ridiculous.

In a perfect world the Swiss would enshrine privacy protection in their constitution and Proton would have a shit ton of competition or cease to exist because their service is moot and we would never hear another dumb take from them ever again.

It is clear a lot of people are not prepared to see through the bullshit here

Explain how please. I honestly don't get it.

What part of "capitalist" did you mistake for being good?

Authoritarian governments make moves like this and corporations join with them. These are the ingredients for facism when the marriage of these two happen. You are watching pro wrestling here. Proton is trying to make the government the heel but they are both on the same side.

Capitalism is horrible without a lot of guardrails as we can probably both agree on. I would argue we are far off the rails at this point and corporations have been calling the shots for a long time. So pardon me when I call out a propaganda piece for Proton.

You're not a tenth as smart as you believe yourself to be.

Please elaborate, I could use a good chuckle.
