I get that you're upset about these things, but they don't really have anything to do with this post.
Even the comment you're replying to is asserting a different kind of disgusting.
I'm Australian, and people often seize the shoey as a way of telling me that we're all uncivilised filth

I get that you dislike the stereotype, but it still doesn't have anything to do with the issues you listed.
To be fair, the Aussies that are doing shoeys are uncivilised filth. Ive also done a ton of shoeys and they are disgusting, you can taste the shoe.
I don't want to soak my shoes and have to keep wearing them, I buy good shoes and don't want to ruin them, and I sure as shit wouldn't do one from my work boots
Its funny when you're young, drunk and stupid. Turns out its actually pretty dangerous since shoes have a lot of bacteria that you shouldnt be drinking.
Oh, it definitely isn't on my to-do list, but it's not the worst thing in the world
